At the Netherlands Film Academy, graduating students create 60-second commercials for the SIRE Foundation. Our brief: raise awareness about food consumption. This short commercial takes a dry, comedic but still somewhat ominous approach to the issue. Through an absurd situation, we highlight the contradictions of grocery shopping. 
The goal to highlight how complex and sometimes contradictory our food choices can be. By exaggerating the act of grocery shopping into something absurd, the commercial playfully exposes the hidden tensions between what we buy, what we consume, and what it really “costs.”
