Biography
I’m a film production graduate from the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam, with a deep passion for post-production, VFX, and multidisciplinary storytelling. While I’m well-versed in essentials like financing, planning, creative development, and communication, I thrive when diving into the more technical side of things. Whether it’s workflow optimization, virtual production, or integrating emerging technologies like VR, AR, and AI, I love exploring innovative tools that push the boundaries of what’s possible in film.
I bring international experience from projects in South Africa and Japan, where I learned to navigate diverse, multicultural teams while combining technical precision with a strong creative vision. Our VR film Let Nature Heal (2023) won Best VR Film at the Sehsüchte International Film Festival, and for the music video On Again – Mau P (2024), I applied both production and VFX expertise, leading to over a million views on YouTube.
Most recently, I produced Moksha (2025), a visually striking 3D animated graduation film that became the first student project at the Film Academy to implement both HDR and Dolby Atmos. The film has now been completed and is currently touring international festivals, receiving several nominations and screenings in cinemas.
Alongside my film work, I’m expanding my strategic and commercial expertise through a Master’s in Advertising Account Management at the Universitat Autnoma de Barcelona (2025). This further strengthens my role as a connector between creative vision and client-driven impact within the creative industries.
With hands-on experience as a Junior Post-Producer at Postoffice, working on high-end projects like American Horror Story (Disney/FX), I’ve developed a sharp eye for streamlining workflows, especially in commercial and client-facing productions. I also bring a background in marketing and event organization, which complements my film work with a practical, audience-driven mindset.
In addition, I currently serve as Interim Head of Marketing & Communication at VERS – the Dutch film industry association – where I contribute to shaping industry visibility and engagement. As an Executive Board Member, I actively support the development of new XR/VR initiatives, bridging emerging technologies with creative opportunities for filmmakers.
My foundation in the creative industry was built through founding and running UMRA (2018–2021), where I developed a multifaceted brand encompassing events, clothing, and music in the Dutch electronic scene. This entrepreneurial venture honed my skills in logistics management, marketing strategy, team leadership, and creative direction – all capabilities I’ve seamlessly transferred to my film production work, particularly in creating cohesive visions and executing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Curious, ambitious, and solution-oriented, I’m always looking for ways to connect creativity with efficiency, and to bring great ideas to life through collaboration and innovation.
