At the Netherlands Film Academy, graduating students create 60-second commercials for the SIRE Foundation. Our brief: raise awareness about fast fashion.
Though I wasn't graduating that year, I joined this project as a producer to help bring the vision to life.
This short, funny skit takes a dry, dystopian, comedic approach to the issue. Through absurd situations, we highlight the contradictions of the fashion industry while making viewers laugh.
The punchline delivers our call to action: "Snap jij het? Wij ook niet. Recycle gewoon." ("Get it? Neither do we. Just recycle.")
Sometimes environmental issues seem overwhelming; we're saying you don't need to understand everything to take positive action. Start with something simple! ♻️
